ROAD SAFETY is an attempt to create a complete online encyclopedia
regarding driving knowledge and skills. In these first steps that we
take, there will be constant updates and changes. We hope that through
our texts you will find material you did not know and come back soon
to read more and improve your driving skills even more.
ROAD SAFETY is addressed not only to present motor vehicles operators
but also to all the future drivers, either that is a motorcycle or a car.
Although ROAD SAFETY covers topics from the first steps of driving education,
such as traffic signs and their meaning, it will mainly focus on the
drivers further education, beyond what they had to learn to earn their drivers
license, a topic which unfortunately is not covered sufficiently in Cyprus, since
there is no information resources or advanced driving centers like those that
you might find abroad, were you could go to after you have completed
your driver’s license examination and have earned your driver’s license.
The content is available in the form of documents, photos or any other
media,
with its sole purpose to help the reader develop not only advanced
driving skills
but also a proper driving behavior. Specifically the content is
split into
categories, dependent on the reader’s skill and knowledge level
and it will
cover topics like proper vehicle control under slippery road
conditions, bad
visibility and other topics that are not sufficiently covered
during the examination for a driver’s license but are major contributors to
accidents.
