    Driving Guidelines

A. Vehicle Mechanical Condition

Drivers must ensure that their vehicles are regularly checked-up by an authorized M.O.T station in order to fulfil all laws and regulations.

B. Get Familiar with your Vehicle

1. Read carefully your vehicle manuals,
2. Locate and learn how to use your Vehicle Control Systems,
3. Adjust your seat to a proper and comfort position,
4. Put your seat belt on,
5. Adjust your mirrors for maximum road visibility,
6. Check your vehicle warning and other engine indicators,
7. Lock all vehicle’s doors.

C. Vehicle Passengers

1. The number of passengers MUST NOT exceed the allowed number specified by the vehicle manufacturer,
2. MUST NOT start your vehicle till all passengers have their seat belts on,
3. Passengers MUST NOT in any case interfere with the driver’s road visibility, concentration or coordination,
4. Driver MUST have their passenger under control,
5. Safety doors MUST be locked if children are on board.

D. Vehicle Loading

1. MUST NOT load your vehicle above the load limits specified by vehicle manufacturer,
2. MUST NOT start your vehicle without securing your load.

E. Vehicle Signal Indicators

1. Always use your vehicle signal indicators before changing root or direction,
2. Turn off vehicles indictors after their use,
3. Arm signals may be used for emphasising your root direction,
4. Always observe and gather information from other road user signal indicators.

F. Vehicle Lighting

Always make sure that all vehicle lights are functioning properly.

Normal Lights
1. Always use vehicle front lights at night,
2. Always use vehicle front lights on low road visibility,
3. Use vehicle front lights on daylight ONLY if its necessary.

Headlights
1. Use headlights on extremely low road visibility,
2. Use headlights on roads where no street lights exist,
3. Do not use headlights in a way that you may confuse or interfere with other road user visibility,
4. Always observe other vehicle indicators.

Hazard Lights
1. Use hazard lights in case of emergency,
2. Use hazard lights vehicle is stopped and its position interferes with the traffic flow,
3. Ensure to turn off vehicle hazard lights after their use,
4. Do not use hazard lights as an excuse for speeding or illegal parking.

Front and Rear Fog Lights
1. Use front and rear fog lights in case of low road visibility due to bad weather conditions,
2. Do not use front and rear fog lights in normal weather circumstances since might affect other road user visibility.

G. Traffic Signals and Signs

1. Always obey Traffic Light signals,
2. Always obey Police Officers signals,
3. Always obey Traffic signs,
4. Ensure that you know and understand all Traffic signs.
